Sound Surprise is a family friendly, comfortable and welcoming home located within The Village at Nags Head on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

This house was built and furnished with vacationers in mind. There are five bedrooms and each one has an attahed bath. You can start your vacation right away...all the bed linens and bath towels are provided and Village Realty even makes the beds before you check in. A starter set of paper products and soaps is also provided.

Bed Sizes: One King, Two Queens, One Double Bed, One Pyramid Bunk with a Trundle Bed. (A pyramid bunk has a twin bed on the bottom and a single bed bed on top.)

One of the most popular places will be the mid level deck, where the hot tub is located. There is something very special about relaxing here during the early evening and watching the stars come out.

There are excellent views of the Albemarle Sound and you can catch the spectacular sunsets from the deck.

Amenities and features at Sound Surprise include two whirlpool tubs, a game room and wireless Internet access (please bring our laptop pc).

Bringing little ones with you? A high chair and a port-a-crib are provided. There is a TV in every bedroom and several DVD players and a stereo.

Outside amenities: bikes, outside shower, beach chairs, a charcoal grill and a fish cleaning table. Parking is available for four to five cars.

Nags Head has many excellent restaurants and some unique shopping experiences as well. We recommend Sam and Omies on the Beach Road for a great breakfast and some local color. For lunch, try Sugar Creek on the Causeway to Manteo or Tortugas Lie on the Beach Road. The Lone Cedar Cafe is one of our favorite places for dinner and is also located on the Causeway to Manteo. We suggest you take a day trip to Roanoke Island and visit the Elizabethan Gardens and Festival Park and then take in a performance of The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama.
